With the Kickstarter demo, we had some compatibility issues on some older intel integrated graphics. If you have problems running the game, leave a message with your hardware configuration, and I'll try to sort it out.
Thanks!

Re: Leave a message if the game doesn't run on your computer
I tried it out on my laptop and it crashes on launch, I assumed that my laptop was just too old though.
Windows 7 64 bit
i3 M 330 @ 2.13Ghz using the Intel HD integrated graphics.
Here's the crash memory dump if that helps at all: http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?fi ... 8516685878

Re: Leave a message if the game doesn't run on your computer
I would love to see if we can get it running on your laptop. No promises, but I think we can probably figure something out.
Unfortunately we screwed up and don't have symbols for this build, so we can't debug the memory dump. :-/ We will post an update soon-ish (with some other bug features) with symbols, so that'll help us.
The only thing is, if you don't mind, would you try updating your graphics drivers and then trying again? Intel's graphics drivers are horrible, but they are getting better, so sometimes issues are fixed by updating and trying new drivers.
Thanks, and sorry for the trouble!

Re: Leave a message if the game doesn't run on your computer
Good idea, I haven't updated the drivers on my laptop in a while, and they still had the ones from Dell from 2010 on them. Yeah it's a pretty old laptop! The specifics of the integrated graphics are "Intel HD (Core i3)" - (it's not even the HD 2000 or 3000) - and I bumped up the driver version from 8.15.10.2104 to 8.15.10.2993, but still no go. I'm really not expecting much, it's far from a gaming machine, I have trouble getting most anything recent to run on it

Re: Leave a message if the game doesn't run on your computer
The renamed everything Intel HD, which is irritating because it makes it difficult to tell what actual chipset it has. I believe the game ran on my netbook with an i3 and Intel HD Graphics, but I think it might have been newer than yours.
We have a new build up (8466) that will hopefully give us the capability to debug crash dumps - although judging from the error reports, I bet your issue is the game crashing in the intel display adapter, which is going to be a bitch to fix... Although I suspect we could sort it out. Maybe once we add graphics options, it'd be easier to track down...
Anyway, if you get a chance, I'd say crash it a bunch of times on your laptop with the new build, so that Steam uploads the dump file, and we'll take a look. I think it has to crash 4 or more times for us to get the file or something like that.
Thanks for your help!

Re: Leave a message if the game doesn't run on your computer
Oh god it was a pain in the ass to find the drivers. I waded through Dell's site (it's a Dell laptop, but they haven't updated since the laptop came out) then ended up downloading the wrong drivers 3 times from Intel's site.matt wrote:The renamed everything Intel HD, which is irritating because it makes it difficult to tell what actual chipset it has. I just crashed out the updated alpha a bunch of times so that should do it, and also here's the last dump file just in case: http://s000.tinyupload.com/download.php ... 3014750320

Hey Matt,
Assuming this is about the candle crash - my specs for the graphics card are as follows:
Intel HD Graphics 3000:
Chipset Model: Intel HD Graphics 3000
Type: GPU
Bus: Built-In
VRAM (Total): 512 MB
Vendor: Intel (0x8086)
Device ID: 0x0126
Revision ID: 0x0009
Displays:
My other 10.9 mac that worked has a GeForce graphics card and that worked perfectly. I think you got it figured out. Let me know if you need anything else - my apple software update is up-to-date - which doesn't mean the drivers are but most mac users wouldn't know how (sigh) to do that.
EDIT: Just posted this and saw that you had a new build - so played that on the macbook pro with the Intel Graphics card - Worked Great! No crashes now was able to play all the way through.
Thanks,
Dwight

Hmmm... We didn't fix the crash bug though. hahaha Well, don't worry about it. I'm sure it'll crop up for someone again, and then we can sort it out!
Thanks for your help!

Re: Leave a message if the game doesn't run on your computer
So my game starts up and the keyboard responds just fine. My video seems to be blank though. If i hit ENTER once i know we should be on the splash screen in the beginning, I hear the cutscene and then I know I am in control of the character, but the video is still blank. I will post my video information in hopes of it helping! I really enjoyed my first playthrough, but when I tried re loading it up, I get nothing. The audio is still great though!
