Unresolved Father Issues?

I've only had a few nightmares in my life that have been so thoroughly frightening...
When I was just a little boy, like 10 or something, I had a dream about being trapped in a room with my Dad. He had a large knife and was walking toward me all slow-like.. not saying anything at all... but looking at me like... well... that he was definitely going to stab me. All I was doing was backing up, step by step, shaking my head and absolutely sobbing... begging... "please no, please don't dad... daddy no".
I actually had been crying when I woke up...
