When I was a child I saw this horror film in B&W (i am 40+). I don't remember the name, but there was a horse carriage going down a dirt road lined with trees (near a mansion i think). The fog was thick, humid and heavy. In the fog, seemingly all over, were ghostly eyes as if they were in mid air. So many of them staring at me. So alone and surrounded.

I was probably 8 when I saw that and I can remember it as vividly today as I saw it then.

I hope the glory of crowd-sourcing helps you figure out the film. I'm intrigued now .

That sounds really creepy. I will have to make a note of eyes in mid air in my scary ideas brainstorming.
