@Grabthehoopka
I don't own the appropriate console, so I couldn't play Condemned myself, but even just watching an LP of it was quite effective. Nice one.
I haven't played "Condemned" neither, but too many people suggested me to give it a shot. I should stop ignoring them. By the way, it was released on PC, wasn't it?

Yes it was released on PC! I have it on Steam myself and a boxed copy. Great horror game, urge everyone to give it a shot as it's probably cheap as chips now :D

Also speaking of Manhunt, I noticed that I have the unpopular opinion of thinking that Manhunt 2 was better than the first.

Honestly whilst Manhunt was a pretty good game, it was rather shoddy in spots. Barely any story at all, gun combat being pretty awful, the escort missions and the large difficulty spike near the end. Luckily the game had a great atmosphere and a nice simple stealth mechanic so I could forgive a lot of its issues.

Manhunt 2 I just found to be better personally. I can totally get why people prefer the first as its atmosphere is a lot more subtle and grounded compared to number 2's but everything else is just better. The variety of weapons is increased as well as the type of kills, there's some semblance of a story even if it's not the most original, more varied levels and just a more polished experience overall. I will say that I played the uncensored PC version so the whole controversy didn't affect that version of the game so my opinion is probably jaded slightly hahaa.

Ah, I didn't know Condemned came to PC by now. I may get it, it'll probably be at budget price now, anyway.

I played neither Manhunt 1 nor 2.

Condemned: http://store.steampowered.com/app/4720/

Says it's £9.99 for me at the moment, but I'm sure it'll come down in price in the next sale!

It was a launch title for Xbox 360, to give you an idea of how old it is. I bought a used copy at Gamestop for next to nothing. And it even came in a spoOoOoOoky blank DVD case!

I get where you're coming from. I really did like the story of Manhunt 2, but I think that the game mechanics and design carried over practically unchanged from the first game really hurt it, and it should have been told in a game built from the ground up to support it individually.

Anyways, I could write an essay about why I like Manhunt 1 so much and don't like Manhunt 2, but I'll spare everyone from that.

Yeah I can understand how you feel, the mechanics would have definitely benefited from a major re-design but I still enjoyed it for what it was so to each his own I guess!

I played Manhunt 2 on PSP and I actually found myself continuing only because of the story. It wasn't very sophisticated, but it was alright. The mechanics and overall gameplay on handheld were a pain in the ass. My main problem with this game is, though, that I don't really see any significant innovations. Hope Rockstar will work on them in a case they develop a sequel.
