I know I mentioned it in the kickstarter update, but just in case someone here doesn't get those, I figured I'd repost.
We are very fortunate to be included in the Steam Community’s Choice vote right now as part of the holiday sale. Would you mind voting for us? (If the vote thing doesn't come up right away, it's about halfway down the page) I could really use your help voting! Please help spread the word on twitter and facebook. You guys are the best!

Nice, you got in on the first round! Competition isn't TOO stiff, Spider-Man 2 isn't going to win for sure, although I'm not sure about Hack and Slash... that will probably make it tough.
Did my part and voted though!

I have no idea how we did it. I guess someone at Valve likes us? Hack and Slash seems like tough competition, but it has less user reviews... so maybe for some reason it didn't catch on? It is going to be an anxious 15 hours and 39 minutes....

Looks like Hack and Slash won. But the new system is kinda cool! Looks like NN is still discounted, just not as much as the winner. So it's still being promoted on the front page!
Matt, you'll have to let us know (again if you don't mind revealing) if this causes a little bump in your sales! How wonderful to be featured in the sale, even if it didn't win.
I'm not sure if I'll be buying much this sale. My backlog has reached critical mass. :p

I noticed that as well! I had no idea that was going to be the case. While the game has only been on sale for 3 hours, and we are close to beating our Thanksgiving 6 day sale. The front page promotion REALLY helps. I suspect that today will beat our Halloween sale, and we still have the rest of the Christmas season to hopefully move some units.

Re: Vote for us on a Steam community choice poll
Wow, a single day in the Christmas sale will beat out the entire Halloween sale? That is nuts to me (in the best possible way).
I must say Matt, I think you've been very smart with the discount schedule you've chosen to price the game at. By sticking to your guns that this game is worth $15 (in spite of people who tried to make the case otherwise), I think people really see that they are getting a great value at $6.74 this holiday season. If I didn't own the game, I'd certainly buy it at this price.

It is the power of being on the front page on Steam! (Even if you have to scroll down to see the deal.) I suspect if we did a similar discount on our own, I suspect it'd just be slightly better than a normal day during the sale.
The discount schedule has basically been suggested to me by our Steam rep, so I have him to thank. The $15 to $10 question is a tough one, but on Retro/Grade, it seemed like most of your units will be on big discounts, and I don't think the $1.25 difference for 75% off will change anyone's mind.
I wish we could charge $20 for our next game, but given that it will most likely be similar in scope to Neverending Nightmares (but hopefully longer), I think it would be a really tough sell. If we were doing full 3D, I think that would be an easier sell to consumers (not sure why), but I'd much rather build off of what we have rather than start from scratch...
