So far, so good. I have to admit though, I'm stuck on the first enemy of the new part. I even tried leaving the candle in the room you respawn in to no avail.

EDIT: When I went to exit the game, the window closed, but the music for the main menu kept playing until another window got focus. Also, I had to manually kill the process as it was still running. I did exit the game quickly, I'll see if I can replicate it.

EDIT 2: So far, I've been unable to replicate it after a few tries.

Wow... just... WOW.

I'm not gonna spoil anything, but all I'd say to the alpha players : Wait until the candle goes off...

Wonderful build so far Matt, answered the survey !

Keep up the good work :)

(Jeez, I'm sure writing this late) I'm not going to spoil anything, but the solution for getting past the girls felt somewhat lackluster, probably because it doesn't make sense. Even though it's a dream it doesn't have to make sense, but so far with the puzzles they've all made logical sense so facing this one was somewhat of a turn-a-round I guess. Beyond that though, I loved everything else about the level. It's probably my favorite one so far.

That part was great! I personally loved the repeating bedroom doors the best.

But yeah, I also did the survey. The 1-10 rating for the asylum level was asked twice in case you didn't know though, Matt.

Yes ! This too is awesome !
I played the game when I woke up, so it took me few seconds to realise but the feeling that part creates is really interesting :)

Aaaaaaand I got stuck hahaha
I couldn't get around the new enemy. I tried not taking the candle, luring it back to the end of the hallway (Maybe triggering something), side stepping it, standing still. Yet to no avail, I'm probably missing something obvious though hahaa :?

This new build is awesome! And I love this new level!
The only point that is weird is that the dialogue made an echo on my headphone

I'm sorry to hear some people are getting stuck on the new enemy. She definitely works differently than the other enemies, and I like the variety, so I don't want to change her behavior because I like the nightmarish feel, but it seems like some changes need to be made.

Can anyone who is stuck do a playthrough video and just talk me through what they are trying to do and what they expect her to do? Maybe I can get an idea from that. To me, the way to get them to go away is what I would do naturally in the situation, but I can see where people looking for "the trick" or "solution" might get stuck...

I've fixed the survey to remove the duplicated question. Sorry about that.

With the echo-y dialog, it's possible the sound designer put some reverb in the levels before we did the build. I'll have to look into that.

Thanks for checking out the build! :)

I'll try recording later because I've got to do some audio balancing as the game drowns me out, but off the top of my head I tired:

sprinting past it
walking past it
leaving the candle behind and walking past it
turning my back to it and seeing if it would walk by me
letting it attack me and trying to dodge out of the way

That's where I've run (no pun intended) out of ideas. Seeing as how there's nothing in the hall to interact with, I haven't the faintest idea what to do. I guess I'll try more things later.
