So I've been fighting a cold for the last week. So broke I can't get and cold meds. Although they typically heighten my Nightmares and vivid dreams when I'm sick. I instead opted for acetaminophen and tea and honey. Unfortunately I've discovered just being sick will give me the dreams and Nightmares I dread. They were especially bad this time. There was a point where I woke up and refused to go back to sleep. Even though they were vivid I can only give you bits and pieces of the several "dreams" I had.
I go in an argument with my best friend and when his knights tried attacking me I stabbed my friend killing him
I was being swept down a river only in a life vest barely able to keep my head above water
I had to rob a bank in order to make enough money to pay bills
I had to help a woman who was bitten by a shark (really deep cut )
I was falling ever so slowly but could see the spikes that wanted to impale me
I was a small child lost in a mall and my older self wouldn't help me
I couldn't find my kids who were taken from me while camping
I love sleep so much that it sucks getting betrayed by my dreams.

Re: Being Sick and Nightmares
I've had a nightmare very similar to your shark bite one! It was only once, but it was very haunting.
I was driving my car, doing something from some other segment of the dream, when all the sudden, my girlfriend screams at me. I look in the back seat, and my girlfriend is back there cradling some bloody, unconscious person across her lap, telling me that I have to get help for them, that it's my responsibility to help them. Then suddenly, I freeze up. I don't know what to do, I don't know where to go, I can't handle the responsibility. And as I'm frozen up, I start running red lights and the other cars on the road are swerving to avoid me, but I'm petrified, and I just keep coasting forward, and I feel guilty because I'm more worried about getting hit by the other cars than I am about the stranger in the back seat.
And either I forgot the rest, or I moved on to some other segment, cause that's all I remember.

Thanks Matt. Passed the worst part of the cold. Dreams are mostly back to normal.

Well, I think it's quite usual to have nightmares when you are sick. In my case, it's a silly nightmare. When my body aches, i could feel it in my sleep and my mind translates it like i sleep in a bed full of needles picking on me.
I think my dreams are better for me than yours...
