Indie3?

Post by Harry Sunderland »

Guys, I was procrastinating from my job because my boss is on vacation and I'm working remotely from home  and I saw on Twitter that some indie devs are offended that Polygon said this:
E3 is loud, expensive, sexist and violent: It's also the only place to be next week http://sbn.to/1hBHeuX
https://twitter.com/Polygon/status/474592860352692224

And basically the conversation evolved that they should try to organize some kind of indie-centric cyber event either before or after E3 called Indie3.

Anyways, they are still in the planning stages, but perhaps if Matt wants a little more exposure, he could read through the Twitter and maybe take the opportunity to display NN to some more people. They are looking for devs to get in touch with them to help them figure how to best have this event.

I have a strong feeling this event (if it even happens) will be very counter-culture, anti-mainstream focused. Likewise, I bet that audience would be receptive to Matt's amazing game.

Just a thought!

That is interesting, but E3 is next week, and I kind of have my hands full getting ready for the IndieCade/Ouya display and the Media Indie Exchange. which is an indie-centric media focused event at E3.

Maybe I'll reach out to them, but it seems like a really short time to plan an anti-event. There is also Venus Patrol's Horizon media event at E3, so E3 isn't as bad as people make it out to be.
