That was totally fine. I heard back from Humble today, and they said they are looking into it. I am hoping it'll get sorted out soon. I feel terrible about the whole thing. :(

Am replaying all the levels (game crashed on me and I had to force quit it... it has reset the entire game so I have to start from the beginning to see the new parts to the last level :( ). Have found that the first bathroom in The Storm Begins has a very glitchy curtain. It's got extra pixels surrounding it and atm, it won't even let me take screencaps of it XD

Hi Verbalfallacy,

I'm sorry to hear that the game crashed on you. if you haven't played it in a while, it's possible we didn't upgrade our saved game file correctly. What OS are you playing the game on? We have crash reporting for some platforms, but I'm not sure how well it works.

Do you mean "The Nightmare Begins" or "A Coming Storm"? Are you using Steam? usually steam lets you take screenshots no matter what. If you are on Windows, you could also try using Fraps, which is free for screenshots. That might be a video card specific bug, but I'm having trouble imagining what you are talking about, so a screenshot would be super helpful.

Thank you for your help, and I'm sorry you are having issues.

PS. As an update, it seems like the Humble fulfillment issues may be my fault. I think I may have forgotten to give them the spreadsheet with the people who should get keys. :( D'oh!

Alright, a little late to the party but seeing as this build hasn't added or changed a huge amount I left it a little later to play it hahaa. Now I have played it though! So lemme run down a few thoughts:

- Lots of general art improvements in levels, especially later levels. Good stuff :D
- Loved the new transition from the penultimate level to the final one, fair to say that we at least have an answer for what was grinded on the first level :? hahaha
- Like the fading at the end as well as it feels a lot more smooth than just cutting real quick

Two things that I found however bug wise.
I noticed that changing the graphics settings whilst in game and then playing caused some hiccups in the game. One notable thing was interactable objects losing all their colour and being empty voids kinda like this:

The other smaller issue I had was the newly added body falling sequence in the graveyard near the end. For one, it surprised the hell out of me! Got me pretty good hahaha
But there was no sound effect for her hitting the floor, so it was a silent hard plummet to the floor. I dunno if it's supposed to be like that or if it's just a bug but I figured I'd mention it anyway. This is the section I'm on about:

Those things aside though, build was pretty great :)
Look forward to the next one!

Yeah, that sound effect was totally missing. I completely overlooked it when preparing a list for Eduardo. The sound effects for it are in, and it's way better. Sorry about that!

It seems like we are having lots of issues with changing the graphics settings. I'll have Dan look into that. What is your video card, OS, etc?

Thanks!

Hey, just went through the game real quick for the first time. I really enjoyed the aesthetic!

I think I managed to experience a bug at what I suppose is meant to be the end of the Destroyed Dreams level, though I have no idea in what state that level is supposed to be in during this build. Thomas's eyes and mouth didn't load, and the game didn't respond to any controller or keyboard input (other than minimizing either via Xbox button triggered controller status or Alt+Tab, or closing via Alt+F4). For a while, I wondered if the previously mentioned behavior was intentional.

That aside, I'm assuming the condition to trigger a split path from either Isanity or Together at Last have either not been implemented yet or are very well hidden? Just wanted to check if there's a non Nightmare Select way to access the Destroyed Dreams level.

Oh sure thing, here's a run down of my specs :) (Bear in mind that these are Laptop specs if that's any help)

CPU - Intel Core i7-3630QM 2.40GHz
Graphics Card - AMD Radeon HD 7970M
RAM - 8GB
OS - Windows 7 64 bit
Hard Drive - 698 GB

If there's anything else you need to know that I left out then do ask haha :P

Firstly, the beta build is finally live and working for backers! So sorry it took us a week to get that set up. So if you have beta access, feel free to start playing the game! :-D

ElTipejoLoco - Destroyed Dreams is not in the current build. There was a bug in a previous version where you could select it from the Nightmare Select screen even though it wasn't "unlocked" (nor is it finished), but I thought we fixed that. The branching paths are not in the game right now.

How did you access Destroyed Dreams or this unresponsive black world? Perhaps this is a new bug.

Jprice - I think we have everything we need. Laptop graphics issues are harder to reproduce since we can't go out and buy your card, but it seems like we have serious issues with changing the graphics settings at runtime that we need to work through, which will hopefully address your issues.

Thanks for your help tracking down these bugs!

Version 0.6 Build 13353 is what I've got on Steam at the moment. I just accessed it from the Nightmare Select screen after playing through The Final Descent. Maybe that's not the latest build?

I took a couple of screenshots of the Nightmare Select screen and the part of Destroyed Dreams that is unresponsive (it's not really a black world, and I don't see where I mentioned that- it's just Thomas lying down with his eyes and mouth unloaded), but I'm unsure of whether I should upload them or not if they are, well, not supposed to be seen yet.

Looks like Destroyed Dreams is selectable in the current build for me too. It's grayed out at first, like the other ones that aren't in yet, but if you use the arrow keys (or a controller I'd assume) on the Nightmare Select screen, you can navigate to it and pull it up, after which it shows up on the nightmare select screen, but still with the ??? instead of an image.

It loaded an asylum-type level for me that I was able to walk around in and is definitely different than the other levels so far, but I only went in a couple rooms because I don't want to spoil anything! Nothing seems to be missing for me, Thomas looks fine and the art seems to be all there.

edit: oh shit I just saw a new enemy and holy crap is all I can say. I'm sorry I'll stop playing now, I couldn't resist though :)
