Dreadout had bad puzzle design in my opinion. I ended up following walkthrough videos for a lot of it because I couldn't figure out where I was going or what I was doing. It seemed like the way they expected you to play was:
1) Look around the entire world for something new ghost.
2) Defeat that ghost.
3) Look around the entire world for something that changed.
That's the way it seemed to me. I guess there was one real "puzzle", which was kind of clever, but the problem is I had no idea what it changed in the world when I solved it.
