Re: 58 - Amnesia
Matt, I agree that the enemy encounters in Amnesia are amazing, and honestly I think your game has the potential to be even better. Part of what made Amnesia amazing was the realism of being pursued (as you mentioned). The way you react to enemies is exactly what any of us non-heroic types would do ...

Re: Dreams that ought to be scary but aren't
First person shooters have ruined fear in some of my dreams because if I'm being pursued, sometimes I'm aware that if I die I'll respawn, so sometimes I just let the killer kill me so I can respawn.
It's pretty absurd.

Gabby has kind of a creepy innocence that I think reflects the period you're going for.

Half-Paralysis and Cloaked Figure
I had an interesting nightmare last night. In the dream (not in reality), I awoke in bed, but only the right-half of my body awoke. So my right eye was open, and I had control over my right arm and right leg, but my left eye was still closed, and I couldn't move any limbs on the left side of my body...

Re: What is your favorite horror game till the date.
I too love me some Silent Hill 2.
The Wii remake of SH1 I enjoyed, except I hated the action sequences. The atmosphere of the other parts was very novel for me.
I also love Amnesia and the Penumbra series. Some of the best atmosphere I've played!

Re: V/H/S 1 and 2
I found the poughkeepsie tapes on youtube. Score. I'll check it out this weekend.
Edit: Wow, I ended up watching it tonight...and I sure hope I can get to sleep after that. TRULY disturbing film...jeeze. It makes V/H/S/ seem like Benji.

V/H/S 1 and 2
Hello guys, We're approaching the season when all the new horror movies start coming out. I was curious as to if anyone here has watched either V/H/S or V/H/S 2? I recently watched the second one, and while I thought it definitely faltered at a few moments, overall I was very satisfied with how terr...

Re: I'm Matt Gilgenbach (the developer guy)
Hi guys, my name is Eddie. You may have seen me posting in the KS comment section. I'm not sure if I would consider either of these my favorite horror film, but the most effective horror films I've ever seen are "Funny Games" (1997) and "The Last House on the Left" (1972). Both f...
