Re: cultural difference

I think in like 2002 or 2003, when France did not support the US invasion of Iraq, there was a dumb counter cultural movement to change the name of French fries to freedom fries.

It was dumb.

Re: Action movie guilty pleasures

Without hesitation, I answer my favorite action movie guilty pleasure is the "Super Mario Bros" film. It's a nostalgia film for me, and to this day quotes from it still pop in my head now and again. "You went troo da bone and a da rock an found what?" "Iridium" "An...

Re: 160 - Blockbuster Narrative Lessons

It's interesting that it's been making SO much money despite all the negative reviews. It seems like the critics aren't really capturing what a lot of moviegoers want. I would say that is a very strong theme for blockbusters lately. Highbrow critics keep holding summer blockbusters up to this refin...

Re: cultural difference

I have never been to France, and I haven't met a lot of French people, so I can't say. I've heard a lot of U.S. people make fun of the French though, but that's because there's a joke/stereotype in the U.S. that France has a history of losing/surrendering during wars. Also, in general I've heard peo...

Re: 159 - Reward Update

Yes very early on I remember you making it clear the physical rewards would come last. I think even on the KS page you stated that as the due date.

I bet no one is gonna bitch about the physical rewards. They all want the game first and foremost! :)

Re: The Wolf Among Us

I just finished Episode 5. I won't discuss in detail b/c spoilers, but I really really liked how it wraps up the season. :)

Re: The Wolf Among Us

I got into this series during the Steam Sale and WOW! I'm so into it. I actually finished E4 last night, and E5 drops tonight...so I rode the wave in such a way that there's no cliffhanger. I also think I like it better than TWD (I've not played S2 yet). I just feel like it has a lot less filler (so...

Re: 159 - Reward Update

Watching all your videos about Kickstarter, I think I've come to realize that KS projects are not as easy as I think a lot of developers initially think. Yes, you have the freedom to create something free from the judging eyes of a publisher, but the trade-off there is that, if you do it right, you ...

Re: Haunting moments in videogames?

Matt's guess was correct. To this day, I am very jumpy at the movies after that horrible tragedy during the batman film in colorado. Gaming had instilled a sort of gun paranoia bc my hobby often involves virtually getting shot! Living in Texas where people aren't shy about their guns doesn't soothe ...
