Re: Haunting moments in videogames?

I think in general, the violence in video games has made me really sensitive to certain stimuli. For example, I think I worry about being shot much more frequently than most people...just because being someone who plays games that's an outcome of situations that frequently occurs. There was a day at...

Super Brothers Sword and Sworcery?

Has anyone played this game? I got it the PC version a long time ago in a Humble Bundle, and I've been meaning to play it (really just because Jim Guthrie did the sound-track, and he's one of my favorite song-writers lately.) My question is this though, I know the game won tons of awards for being h...

Re: 154 - Good Puzzle Design

One of my big problems with puzzle games is I end up finding some weird complicated "twitch-based" solution, and then I fixate on achieving that solution and get frustrated. It's hard to describe, but maybe in portal there's a way to fall from the ceiling and hit a platform if you time something JUS...

Re: Ouya Launches "All You Can Eat" Game Pass

I think it's in the testing phase now. I'm not sure if $60 is their final price point or if a 70% split is the final portion devs receive.

I'm sad I didn't go for it when I had the chance.

Re: Ouya Launches "All You Can Eat" Game Pass

Ouya is a store front where you can buy games, and normally I'd pay $15 for Matts game. Matt gets 70% of that and ouya gets 30%. With the pass, I now pay $60 and can download games and pay $0, but Matt still gets 70% of $15. Ouya gives up their 30% bc I subscribed, but they still pay Matt for each "...

Ouya Launches "All You Can Eat" Game Pass

http://shop.ouya.tv/products/all-access-1 So for a limited time only, you can purchase a $60 pass for a year and play any Ouya game you want. The good news is Developers still get their 70% cut. Since Neverending Nightmares is one of the flagship titles of Ouya's "Free the Games Fund", I wanted to h...

Re: Steam Summer Sales: What have you bought?

Matt I agree. I'm still debating if I should buy Metro Last Light, when I still haven't found time to play 2033! I think I'll hold off...but I also think I'll cave if it goes on sale one more time. In better news, I discovered the Steam Marketplace yesterday and made $4.00 selling all my cards ($0.2...

Google Cardboard: Turn Your Phone Into The Oculus Rift!

http://time.com/2925768/the-weirdest-th ... ality-box/

TL;DR Google is coming up with a cardboard thing you fold and put your phone inside to turn it into a VR headset with the aid of some software.

Found it interesting and wanted to share.
