I also disliked the Gears of War shooting mechanics, even though I tried to spice it up by rarely reloading myself, because, I'd imagine, when shit hits the fan, real soldiers shoot their clips empty and don't try to get tactical advantage by reloading whenever they can. Quite a cool idea, having the touchpad rumble according to the position of the enemy. Hopefully the finished version will tackle the noise issue.

Following your developer diaries, I can only admire how you talk about various issues, both easy and difficult ones, so openly and honestly. This video's one of the prime examples. Not many people have the cojones to tell about their struggles in front of the camera. All the best, man.

That's a very nice solutions. And it's also great that you are utilizing the possibilites of crooked geometry. It's a cool way to hint the player's that something's not right.

I'd prefer the correct movement (3D-wise). Though both of the options are gonna confuse some players anyhow. Foreground doors would solve this dilemma the best, probably, but I take that they are absolutely out of question?
